Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026 — pending final legal review

1. About this service

SparkSummary is a publisher of financial information. We aggregate and summarise publicly available data — company filings, market data, economic indicators, and news — so that our readers can keep track of what is happening in markets.

SparkSummary is not an investment firm, a broker-dealer, an investment adviser, or a financial planner. Nothing in our newsletters is personalised investment advice. See the Financial Disclaimer for the complete legal disclosure.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use this service. You must be legally permitted to enter into a binding contract in your country of residence.

3. Account and access

Some features require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for the security of your authentication credentials. Notify us immediately at support@sparksummary.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. The price applicable to you is shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe and may depend on your billing country.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing support@sparksummary.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
  • We do not issue partial-month refunds.
  • Prices and taxes may change. If a price change affects your subscription, we will notify you at least 30 days before the next renewal so you can cancel before it applies.

5. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you are an EU consumer, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract under Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. Because our service consists of digital content delivered immediately on payment, you expressly agree — when you subscribe — that performance begins immediately and that, to the extent permitted by law, you waive the right of withdrawal once we have started delivery. This does not affect any non-waivable consumer-protection rights granted by your local law.

6. Intellectual property

All content published by SparkSummary — newsletters, summary text, methodology descriptions, and the site itself — is our intellectual property or licensed to us. You may read our newsletters for your personal, non-commercial use and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not redistribute, resell, or republish full newsletters, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission.

7. Acceptable use

  • You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose, including market abuse, insider trading, or in violation of applicable financial regulation in your jurisdiction.
  • You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, scrape content at a rate that disrupts the service, or reverse-engineer parts of the platform that are not publicly documented.
  • You agree not to misrepresent your identity when subscribing or when contacting us.

8. Disclaimers and limits of liability

The service and all content are provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (and without prejudice to non-waivable consumer rights), SparkSummary disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

SparkSummary is not liable for any investment decision you make, for any market loss, for any direct, indirect, or consequential damage arising from your use of the service, or for inaccuracies in third-party data that we aggregate. Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that causes material risk to us or to other users. We will notify you of any such action where it is reasonable and lawful to do so.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to subscribers and posted at the top of this page at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or the service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules that may guarantee residents of other EU member states access to the courts of their habitual residence.

12. Contact

For questions about these terms, write to support@sparksummary.com. For data-protection requests, see the Privacy Policy.
